How It Works

Your path to feeling better

01

Request Appointment

Fill out a brief intake form online. We'll confirm availability and match you with the right appointment type.

02

Initial Evaluation

A thorough 50-minute psychiatric assessment to understand your history, symptoms, goals, and current medications.

03

Personalized Plan

Receive a clear, individualized treatment plan — including medication recommendations, follow-up cadence, and referrals if needed.

04

Ongoing Support

Regular follow-ups to monitor progress, adjust medications, answer questions, and keep you on track toward your goals.

What to expect at your first appointment

Starting is often the hardest part. Here's exactly how it goes — no surprises, no pressure.

Before

A few easy minutes

Book online and complete a short intake form. First visits are typically in person in St. George — weekday evenings or Fridays — with telehealth arranged case by case. Either way, have your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any questions handy.

During

An unhurried 50 minutes

Your evaluation is a real conversation about your history, symptoms, lifestyle, and goals — no rushing, no judgment. Lori listens first, then walks you through your options in plain language.

After

A clear plan in hand

You'll leave with a written treatment plan: what we're addressing, any medication recommendations, what to expect, and when to follow up. When appropriate, prescriptions go to your pharmacy the same day.

A quick checklist to be ready

Have these on hand to make your first visit smooth and productive:

  • Your insurance card
  • Current medications & doses
  • Past treatments & allergies
  • Your top concerns & goals
  • A quiet, private space (telehealth)
  • Any questions you want answered

What patients are saying

Lori actually listens. I've seen several providers over the years and none of them took the time she does. I finally feel like my medication is dialed in.

I was nervous about starting medication for anxiety. Lori walked me through everything, answered all my questions, and checked in regularly. So grateful I found her.

Yes. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Lori diagnoses conditions, prescribes medication, and provides ongoing medication management — adjusting your plan as you progress.
A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner holds an advanced practice nursing degree with specialized psychiatric training, and can prescribe medications, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment — covering the same essential functions as a psychiatrist for most patients. The key distinction: psychiatrists hold a medical doctorate (MD or DO) and are uniquely qualified to perform official diagnostic evaluations required for disability determinations, specialized programs, and certain legal or institutional assessments. If you need that level of documentation, we'll let you know upfront and refer you to the right resource.
